Well-known reviewer Jim Sterling had suggested that Topware was responsible for underhanded practices in the industry, including things such as disagreeing with certain sites about the final review score of Two Worlds II. Publishers Topware Interactive were in a bit of hot water, at the time. However, the questionably named Two Worlds II wasn’t without its hiccups. Aspects such as crafting and the alchemy system were most notable among reviewers. The second title, which was released 2010, was given much more of a positive response all in all. Fortunately, the sequel had an easier go of things… sort of. Still, some praise was handed out in regards to the games exploration and in-depth character creation. The reception towards the initial entry was fairly mixed overall which, considering this was the studio's first title developed for console, isn’t that hard to imagine. One of these games being, Two Worlds.įor those who aren’t sure, back in 2007, developers Reality Pump created the first of two titles in the (at the time) duology that was Two Worlds. Bad overused joke aside, there are some fantasy games out there that don’t really make it to the franchise level.

Now typically, fantasy RPGs will turn into a long running series at some point, there’ll be a new installment every year or so that allows players to rediscover the titles they fell in love with, unless you’re Bethesda where you just re-release the same game from 2011.
